Hi! I’m Madison, and stepping into my senior year at Germantown Online Academy of
Learning feels like stepping into my own power. Choosing GOAL was a turning point for
me. it gave me the chance to learn in a way that supports who I am, not who I’m
“supposed” to be in a traditional school setting.

I’ve always needed a calmer space to focus and really absorb what I’m learning, and
GOAL has given me that freedom. Being able to work at my own pace has helped me
stay confident, organized, and in control of my education. Instead of feeling
overwhelmed, I get to slow down when I need to, speed up when I’m inspired, and
understand things in a way that makes sense to me.

One of the best parts of online learning is flexibility. It’s allowed me to pour more time
into the things that make me feel alive — drawing, writing stories, and collecting
Pokémon TCG cards. These aren’t just hobbies; they’re part of how I express myself
and stay grounded. Drawing especially helps me reset when life gets loud, and having
the space to do that has made a huge difference in my overall wellbeing.

As for the future, I’m still shaping the details, but I know one thing for sure: I want to
create. My dream is to one day have my own animated series. It’s a big goal, but GOAL
has helped me believe in my ability to make it real. I’ve learned how to trust my voice,
my creativity, and my pace — and that’s something I’ll carry with me long after
graduation.

Senior year is a milestone, and I’m proud to be spending it in a school that lets me grow,
dream, and be myself. Germantown Online Academy of Learning has helped me find
my rhythm, my confidence, and my direction. And I’m excited for everything that comes
next.
